East Hawaii IPA Membership Strategic Planning Retreat Follow Up The facilitator for the retreat held on November 8 is preparing a summary to be shared soon. The retreat addressed key issues brought forward by the members including creating membership “tiers” with different levels of commitment to and support by the IPA; creating a vehicle/structure for supporting and recruiting new providers and practices; and finding a way to unify the membership as a group, whatever the level of commitment and/or support. Other areas covered included hiring a full-time medical director to serve as the physician/clinical leader and exploring investment partners. The Board at its next meeting will discuss reaching out to the membership to form work groups to delve into these issues further and develop work plans.
Hilo Medical Center (HMC) ER and Admission Reporting Issues FixedThere were technical reporting problems that might have affected communication between your offices and Misae Wela, IPA Transitions Coordinator and Natasha Kenui, HMSA Patient Services Coordinator.
