HMSA Measure – Accepting NEW Patients + Demographics    HMSA is asking that you complete and submit the attached form by its new deadline: Monday, July 2 (updated quarterly). This form indicates whether your practice is accepting NEW HMSA patients for EACH line of business along with updated office demographics. We would also like to know if you are accepting new patients for carriers other than HMSA. Offices that still need to submit the forms are:

MIPS/MACRA Individual Consults – Friday, July 20   Cathy Nelson, Practice Transformation Lead, Mountain-Pacific Quality Health, will be making individual office visits to help to non-CPC+ practices with their quality reporting. Attached is the flyer. Please RSVP by Tuesday, July 17. Appointments on a first come, first served basis.

HMSA Payment Transformation Model Update   IPAs statewide voted for a blended base MGMA global payment rate rather than having different rates for pediatric, internal medicine and family medicine. Quality performance will be differentiated by each of these primary care designations (pediatric, internal and family medicine). HMSA will have individual rates prepared by late July.  Contracts will be sent in early August and need to be signed by August 31, 2018.  New rates will go into effect on October 1, 2018.

Membership Dues  EHI will send out invoices for membership dues in July.  This year’s annual dues payment will be prorated to $600 from July 1-December 31. Members will have the option to receive monthly invoices or pay one lump sum in advance.

SBIRT   Stands for Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment for alcohol & substance abuse. Any adult PCP office interested in participating in the SBIRT grant can receive up to $2500. EHI received a State Department of Health grant running from June 5-September 25, 2018. If interested, email Jane at jbontuyan@ehiipa.com to schedule a one-on-one visit with your office.
