Welcome to Dr. Scott Kronlund, Chief Medical Director   The IPA welcomes Scott Kronlund, MD, MS, who moved to Hilo with his spouse Michele yesterday. Dr. Kronlund will serve as our full-time Chief Medical Director starting Monday, July 23. Joyce will be scheduling him to visit members one-on-one in your offices. SBIRT Workshop – July 31, 2018, 12:00 PM   “Check In” workshop to review screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment progress and process. Open to currently participating offices. Details to be FAXED and emailed to individual offices. EVENING SESSION CANCELLED. If you have not yet passed out screening surveys in your office and are interested in participating, it’s not too late. Offices can receive up to $2500 for their participation in this program. HMSA Payment Transformation Model Update   East Hawaii IPA did not receive Total Cost of Care monies for 2017 cost management performance. Board is investigating why EHI did not receive funds and will be negotiating for supplemental funding from HMSA. HMSA will have individual provider rates prepared by late July. Contracts will be sent in early August and need to be signed by August 31, 2018. New rates will go into effect on October 1, 2018.

Membership Dues   Invoices were mailed to members the first week in July. Members have the option to pay $600 for 2018 (July 1-December 31) or pay $100 monthly. Please contact Joyce at jvitales@ehiipa.com if you have not received your invoice.
