HMSA Payment Transformation COREO to Replace COZEVA   Starting April 1, 2018, HMSA will replace COZEVA with a new reporting system called COREO. Three webinar training sessions will be held on Wednesday, January 31 (Session 1 – view PPT here), Wednesday, February 28 (Session 2) and Wednesday, March 21 (Session 3) from 12:30-2:00 PM. Register here.

  • The IPA will also be hosting hands-on COREO workshops at the IPA office on Tuesday, February 20, and Friday, March 2, at noon-2:00 PM, 2:30-4:30 PM, and 5:00-7:00 PM. RSVP here. Only need to sign up to one time slot. EVERY TIME SLOT ON BOTH DAYS COVERS THE SAME CONTENT.

SBIRT – Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment   The State Department of Health recently awarded EHI a grant to encourage offices to screen patients for alcohol and drug abuse. This is a national public health problem and the state is trying to put more treatment resources in place. In 2018, we would like to screen as many patients as possible and train staff and providers to provide brief interventions and referral to treatment if possible. The IPA is also prepared to help with brief interventions and assisting patients to get the counseling and other help that they need. We will give physicians and staff an honorarium for participation in the program. This program is open to any office willing to participate but CPC+ physicians will have an added benefit of also fulfilling one of their eCQM measures. Please contact Jane Bontuyan for more information at jbontuyan@ehiipa.com or 808-797-3113. We will recruit offices to participate soon.

HMSA PO Collaborative Summary   On January 25, HMSA held a meeting of key representatives from Physician Organizations around the state. EHI was represented by Dr. Kevin Kurohara, Dr. Lynda Dolan, and Susan Mochizuki.
