eClinical Works Agreements  The IPA Board selected eClinical Works (eCW) as the EHR system of choice for the IPA.  eCW will be sending contracts directly to approximately 25 members that we thought would be interested in converting this year.  These contracts are between eCW and the individual provider.  The IPA Board approved funding for training, having a certified eCW specialist available in Hilo and interfacing costs.  The IPA will also work with eCW to interface with Hilo Medical Center, EPIC systems, Hawaii Radiologic Associates, Akamai Billing (as needed), and Clinical and Diagnostic Lab services. We will arrange for training for current eCW practices and work on developing uniform templates for eCW practices to adopt.  In order to implement eCW before the end of 2017, practices should sign the agreement/contract by April 30, 2017.  eCW staff can provide demos or answer your questions on demand.  If you do not receive a contract by next week and want to receive one, please contact Joyce.  jvitales@ehiipa.com

 Payment Transformation Primary Care Providers  Natasha-Ann Kenui with HMSA was introduced at our last Super Huddle meeting.  Natasha will be calling your office to give you the names of patients who were in the Hilo Medical Center ER and see if you need help contacting/touching base with the patient or scheduling an appointment. She will also follow-up to see if the patient kept their appointment and if you need any help contacting them. Feedback always appreciated!

Sustaining Improvement Workshops – April 4 (CPC+ Providers Only) or April 5 (Non-CPC+ Providers) Kahea Wakinekona (NKFH) who serves as our Quality Clinical Manager, will be leading the 2nd session in our series on quality performance this year.  The April 4th session will be geared towards CPC+ providers.  The April 5th session is for Non-CPC+ providers.

HMSA PMSO CPC+ Workshop, April 19, Noon-1:30 PM  Kasey Green, NAVVIS and Company, will be leading a workshop for providers who signed HMSA PMSO CPC+ Agreements. SPACE IS LIMITED TO TWO PERSONS PER PHYSICIAN (INCLUDING PHYSICIAN).  Registration is first come first serve.  Attendees must receive a confirmation notice, no exceptions.  We are planning to host a live webinar as well to accommodate additional participants.  Invite will be sent soon.

MACRA/MIPS Workshop, April 25, Hilo  Caravan Health is presenting a MACRA/MIPS Workshop in Hilo on April 24.  This is open to CPC+ Caravan Health providers or TCPI PTN (National Rural Healthcare Care Consortium) Providers.  TCPI PTN is a free program funded by CMS for NON-CPC+ providers with Medicare patients.  You must sign up for the TCPI program in order to attend the workshop. Apply here.
