HMSA Payment Transformation Providers – ER Follow-up  Natasha Kenui, Patient Navigator with HMSA, is working with the IPA to notify PCPs when patients visit Hilo Medical Center’s ER to ensure that offices are aware and see if a patient follow-up appointment or “touch” has been scheduled by your office within 72 hours. Natasha is trying to contact offices during business hours—we will be calling your office for your days/hours of operation.

CPC+ Providers  We are contacting HMSA with our concerns about services provided by their CPC+ PMSO program. We asked HMSA for data on ER utilization required for CPC+ reporting but have not received anything. However, Hilo Medical Center provided us with a report of your first quarter 2017 ER and inpatient admissions. We will send this to you by tomorrow morning.
